Naxos belongs to Xerjoff's XJ 1861 collection, the Turin house's love letter to Sicily, and it smells exactly like that promise: lavender and bergamot flooded with sunlight, then a heart of dark honey and cinnamon poured slowly over cured tobacco leaf. The vanilla beneath is dense and slightly smoky, closer to pipe shops and old wood than to pastry. It is an extravagant scent that never loses its Italian polish — sweet, yes, but cut through with herbs and citrus so it always breathes. Wear it in the evening, through autumn and winter, when its honeyed cloud can hang in cool air. For romantics with excellent tailoring.
