Oud for Greatness takes the oldest material in the perfumer's cabinet and dresses it for the present. Saffron and nutmeg strike first — warm, faintly leathery spice — before a cool ribbon of lavender does something unexpected: it aerates the oud, lifting what is usually dense and resinous into something sleek and immediately wearable. The agarwood accord itself reads polished rather than medicinal, anchored by musk and a quiet patchouli hum that lasts the better part of a day. This is oud for the boardroom as much as the majlis: formidable sillage, immaculate manners. Best from dusk onward, in cooler months, on someone untroubled by being noticed.
